Kambu / கம்பு / Pearl millet grain can be ground into flour and used to produce porridge, or a type of flat bread. It can also be cooked and prepared in a manner similar to couscous or rice.
These are tiny, white, round grains belonging to the millet family. A delicious snack or something that can be eaten along with rice/ regular meals. It is a staple ingredient in most South Indian homes.
Due to its rich calcium content, Ragi flour is an important constituent of healthy snacks. This organically produced flour is free from additives and is used commonly to make dosas, idlis and pancakes.
Little Millets are smaller than other millets. Like foxtail millet, little millet also high in iron and fibre.
Foxtail millet, called Thinai / திணை in Tamil, is served to both humans and birds. Foxtail millets are high in Iron content and these millets are totally pest-free.
Varagu / வரகு / Kodo millet is a variety of millet which is basically good for people with diabetes.
